USGBC National Capital Chapter is excited to invite you to our Green Affordable Multifamily educational panel.
As density in the built environment continues, growing concerns about gentrification and affordable housing are beginning to bump up against the costs and benefits of green, healthy, and resilient construction. There is no better example of this than the District’s current landscape.
Join us as panelists from the District’s green code team at DCRA, leading affordable housing program Enterprise Green Communities, and seasoned expert in green and multifamily privately developed projects and management from discuss the rewards, challenges, and incentives facing today’s affordable multifamily projects in the district and country at large. Panelists will offer their experience insights and perspectives of the lifecycle of an affordable housing project going green from code, independent building certification, to the stakeholder’s real field experiences and obstacles overcome. Networking with food and beverage will start at 5:30 and we encourage attendees to stick around after presentations for open panel Q&A and discussion. This session is ideal for project teams looking for better insights tackling the complicated and ever-evolving landscape that is the green Multifamily and Affordable Housing market.
