The Role of Natural Gas in the U.S. Economy

Register for this Event

Natural gas is a U.S. energy resource that hydraulic fracturing has made more abundant and widely available than would have been thought possible ten years ago. The United States has experienced a transformational shift in the perceived role of natural gas, from an energy source seen as scarce to one that is recognized as an important component of a clean, domestic and secure energy portfolio. Today, natural gas meets more than one-fourth of the United States’ energy needs.

Join WCEE to hear from two leaders in the industry, Dena Wiggins, President and CEO of the Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA), and Lori Traweek, Chief Operating Officer of the American Gas Association, about how natural gas fits into our country’s energy future and how they rose to leadership in the energy world.

Cost: $0 (WCEE members); $20 (non-WCEE members)

This is a Lunch & Learn (i.e. brown-bag) event; beverages and dessert will be provided but please bring your own lunch.
