Job growth in the solar industry is one of the brightest spots in our national economy, growing at rates of nearly 20 percent annually in recent years and 12 times faster than that of the rest of the U.S. economy. Currently, the International Trade Commission (ITC) is reviewing the impact of imported cells and modules on domestic solar manufacturers. If trade officials request tariffs and minimum prices at the levels suggested by the plaintiffs, the price of PV cells and panels would significantly rise and jeopardize demand for rooftop and large-scale solar projects. This situation puts American jobs on the line and has implications for job growth in several sectors of the economy. Join our experts as they discuss the implications of the tariffs for the solar industry as well as what this decision could mean for other industries.
