President Obama launched Power Africa to bring together technical and legal experts, the private sector, and governments from around the world to work in partnership to increase the number of people with access to power. USAID’s goals include enabling electricity access by adding 60 million new electricity connections and 30,000 MW of new and cleaner power generation in sub-Saharan Africa.
How is USAID working with other governments and the private sector to reach these goals? Are there other ways that USAID should be working to Power Africa? How does Power Africa aim to promote gender equality and female empowerment through its activities? Join us on May 18 to learn about the Power Africa initiative and provide your input to help USAID achieve this ambitious initiative.
This is a Lunch & Learn event; beverages will be provided but please feel free to bring your own lunch.
