Green Jobs – Current and Future Trends + Workshop: What’s Your Green Career Plan?

Join Leaders in Energy for its 4th annual Green Jobs forum which will include a pre-event Green Career Workshop (4-5:30 pm) followed by the main Jobs Forum (6-8:30 pm).

The Green Career Workshop will feature instructor, Dr. Beth Offenbacker, Ph.D., HR Consultant and Coach, Waterford, Inc.  The workshop is designed for people at all career levels on how to take the next steps in support of your success in the green economy.

The Green Jobs: Current and Future Trends Forum will include a panel with Marilyn Waite, author of “Sustainability of Work: Careers that Make a Difference”, Hillary Bright, State Policy Director, with the BlueGreen Alliance, and a green recruiter.  You will also hear from Leaders in Energy members who have recently landed or created a green job (including Washington Gas and Light, Wetland Studies and Solutions, and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority).  Exhibitors include companies which hire in the green arena such as the DC SEU and organizations such as Career Confidence which assist job seekers.  The DC SEU is one of the largest employers of energy and sustainability professionals in the DC area.

The United Nations Association of the National Capital Area (UNA-NCA) is a partner. The United Nations SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL 8 is to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.   Supporters include DC Green Leaders and 40 Plus.

**Green Career workshop – $25 (The workshop includes an electronic copy of the workbook.)
**Green Jobs forum – $30 ($25 early bird through Thursday, August 10). Job seekers and students – $20 (early bird $15). Walk-in $35.
