Great Energy Efficiency Day (GEED) returns to Capitol Hill! We hope you will join us or another year of lively discussions, featuring keynote speeches from leading policy makers alongside an expert-led panel with key stakeholders from business, industry, and government.
With climate change emerging as a central point of discussion in the 116th Congress, GEED 2019 will zero in on energy efficiency’s role as a practical, bipartisan solution for reducing carbon emissions, as well as its tremendous potential for creating jobs and economic activity, driving U.S. productivity and innovation, and improving resilience and reliability.
We look forward to hearing the recently confirmed Assistant Secretary’s vision for EERE and the opportunities for energy efficiency to address Administration priorities for energy innovation and affordability.
As chair of the House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Energy, Rep. Rush has established himself as an advocate for investment in infrastructure and the energy workforce; come hear his views on EE’s role in workforce development and addressing climate change.
Following keynote remarks, private-sector leaders will expand upon the insights offered during keynote remarks and discuss their priorities for EE in the 116th congress:
**Kevin Self, SVP of Strategy, Business Development, Government Relations, Schneider Electric
**Steve Wright, General Manager, Chelan Public Utility District
**Doug Johnson, VP of Technology Policy, Consumer Technology Association
**We will be adding more speakers and keynotes in the coming days
