Congressional representatives and their staff are invited to a policy primer to learn about why biodiesel subsidies are detrimental to taxpayers, the climate, and food security alike. Contrary to the popular narrative that biodiesel is a favorable clean energy alternative, we will provide information about the real climate and environmental impacts of biodiesel and other biofuels, why biodiesel subsidies are expensive for taxpayers, and how biofuel production puts increased pressure on food security.

Opening remarks from Henry Waxman, Former U.S. Congressman, Chairman of Waxman Strategies.
