House Science Committee World Oceans Month Events

On June 4, please join us for a screening of the award-winning Netflix documentary Chasing Coral, followed by a Q&A with Dr. James Porter of the University of Georgia, a Scientific Advisor to the documentary. On June 6, please join us for an Ocean Exploration Expo to showcase breakthrough ocean technology, including footage from ocean exploration missions and other hands-on experiences from the start-ups, researchers, philanthropists, and government agencies at the front lines of modern ocean exploration.

USGBC NCR: 4th Annual Women in Green Power Breakfast

On June 6th, 2019, the USGBC-NCR will host the 4th annual Women in Green Power Breakfast. This signature breakfast celebrates women in the local green building community through engaging and enlightening conversation. During this event, an inspirational, multi-generational panel of female leaders will, through facilitated networking and a panel discussion, share their insights focusing onthe topics of: Speaking up; authenticity, diversity, solidarity, and building leadership. The three topics introduced by the panel will be incorporated into a series of three smaller workshop style events exploring the topics in more depth throughout 2019. Please join us and be part of the wonderful opportunities we as women have to speak clearly for one another and strengthen connections among us as we forge intention into action.
