On June 4, please join us for a screening of the award-winning Netflix documentary Chasing Coral, followed by a Q&A with Dr. James Porter of the University of Georgia, a Scientific Advisor to the documentary. On June 6, please join us for an Ocean Exploration Expo to showcase breakthrough ocean technology, including footage from ocean exploration missions and other hands-on experiences from the start-ups, researchers, philanthropists, and government agencies at the front lines of modern ocean exploration.

Film Screening and Discussion of “Wackersdorf [2018]”

The Goethe-Institut Washington, in partnership with the Heinrich Böll Foundation, presents a screening of “Wackersdorf (2018),” a true story of community, taking a stand against injustice and corruption, and being a local-level politician taking on a much stronger governing power. Oliver Haffner, director of the film, will be present at the screening. Following the film, Haffner and Paul Gunter of the organization Beyond Nuclear will engage in a discussion open to guests.
