Envirorun DC with David Herring, NOAA’s Climate Program Office

Join Envirorun on Tuesday, March 13 for some fresh air, a chance to connect with your environmental colleagues and insights from David Herring, director of communications and education at NOAA’s Climate Program Office.

Starting this month, the Speaker Series will be taking place at WeWork K Street.  Envirorun events are always free! Join us at 6:00 PM for the run, and we’ll return to WeWork K Street for the speaker series at 7 PM. We’ll also be providing snacks and light refreshments, but feel free to bring additional food!

About David Herring:

David Herring manages the Communication, Education and Engagement Division within NOAA’s Climate Program Office, where he also serves as Program Manager of NOAA Climate.gov and the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit. In 2015, David was awarded NOAA’s Dr. Daniel L. Albritton Outstanding Science Communicator Award.

Before joining NOAA in 2008, David worked for 16 years at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, where he led the development of NASA’s Earth Observatory. David received his Master’s Degree in Science and Technical Communication in 1992 from East Carolina University. He is an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
