Join the Institute of Current World Affairs for its semi-annual dinner at the Cosmos Club (2121 Massachusetts Ave, NW), where KC Golden will deliver the keynote address. Board chair of the leading environmental group 350.org and senior policy advisor at Climate Solutions, he will describe his efforts helping build a global grassroots movement to tackle climate change, laying out the challenges ahead.

Dinner keynote speaker:

KC Golden chairs the board of 350.org, which is building a global grassroots movement for climate action. He also serves as Senior Policy Advisor at Climate Solutions, accelerating the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy in the Pacific Northwest and advancing America’s commitment to address the climate crisis. KC served as Energy Policy Director for Washington State and has worked with numerous mayors and governors to develop and deploy state and local climate action plans. He helped Seattle City Light become the first major carbon-free electric utility in the late 1990s, and has served as the governor’s representative to the executive board of Energy Northwest, a regional public power consortium.
