U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently released its final regulations setting the first limits on carbon pollution from the nation’s power plants. At this brown bag, sponsored by the Air Quality Committee of the D.C. Bar Environment, a panel of experts will offer perspectives on the final rule, including state compliance options and the nature and timing of legal challenges.
The panelists will be: David Doniger, Director, Climate & Clean Air Program, Natural Resources Defense Council, Lisa Heinzerling, Professor of Law at Georgetown University, and Jeff Holmstead, Partner, Bracewell & Giuliani. All three of our speakers have previously served in high-level posts at EPA and have spent most of their careers shaping carbon pollution policy.
This brown bag program is sponsored by the Air Quality Committee of the D.C. Bar Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Section, in cosponsorship with the following additional D.C. Bar Sections: Administrative Law and Agency Practice Section and the Corporation, Finance and Securities Law Section. Also in cosponsorship with the Environmental Law Institute. Doors open at 12:00 pm.
