This briefing will include medical testimony on the effects of radiation from Dr. Catherine Thomasson of Physicians for Social Responsibility (confirmed), testimony from Alice Slater of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (confirmed) on the relationship of nuclear weapons to nuclear power, testimony on the state of our decrepit nuclear fleet in the United States from Michael Mariotte of NIRS (confirmed) and testimony from Beyond Nuclear‘s Paul Gunter (confirmed) on the Freeze Our Fukushima’s campaign and why it is imperative that we immediately close all of our dangerous GE Mark 1 and Mark 2 boiling water reactors in the United States. Arne Gundersen will give testimony on the Fukushima catastrophe and reactor #4.
