DC Green Scene

Similar to last year, we will begin at OLD CITY green (corner of 9th and N Street, NW) with the tour stretching about 2 miles through the historic neighborhood of Shaw. Features will include one of the most amazing residential rooftop gardens, a beautiful chef garden, front porch growing, fruit trees, "shared-yard" gardening, urban farming, a rain barrel raffle and after party with garden to kitchen tasting and music. I have attached the press release that includes more information and can include pictures for the event if needed. Please let me know if you would be willing to run a short feature. So many in DC are interested in growing their own food and being inspired by their neighbors. It is really a great way to see and share ideas.
