This year's Better Buildings Summit for State and Local Communities is an opportunity to engage with fellow state, local, K-12 education leaders, and other decision-makers on effective actions and policies to build a clean energy economy in states and local communities. Participants will learn innovative strategies, policies, and models for adopting and implementing clean energy solutions in their communities that save money, create jobs, increase energy security and protect the environment.

The Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) would like to invite you to the 2013 EDTA Conference & Annual Meeting, the premier electric drive event of the year where industry leaders and policy makers come together to accelerate the electric drive industry into the future.

Corporations and other non-governmental entities now regularly work to develop voluntary agreements, standards and other practices aimed at fostering sustainability and reducing environmental impacts. This growth in “private governance” is implemented through various vehicles, including collective standard-setting, certifications, supply chain agreements, and other mechanisms.

This conference will provide an overview and initiate a dialogue about the legal issues taking shape amidst the growing popularity of private governance approaches. The conference will identify, for stakeholders across affected industries and Non Governmental Organizations, how sustainability initiatives, standard-setting, consumer protection and competition law work together in this important and rapidly developing area.

The 24th Annual Energy Efficiency Forum will explore opportunities to place energy efficiency front and center in the new energy economy. In this period of expanding domestic energy supply, the forum will highlight efficiency’s role as a cost-effective resource to meet increasing energy demand, a strategy to make our communities more secure, resilient and sustainable and a driver for innovative new technologies and practices.
